Community Alarm Service

The Council's Community Alarm service offers help to elderly and the disabled people in an emergency in their homes.

The system, which works through the telephone network, enables a person in need to simply press a button which sends an alarm call.

Equipment is easy to install and simple to operate and peace of mind is ensured by an Alarm Centre which is staffed 24 hours 365 days a year.

Our trained and experienced operators can identify the source of the call and arrange for the most appropriate assistance to be organised.

The current weekly charge for the service, which is all-inclusive, is £3.00. This charge can be reduced in certain circumstances which we will be happy to talk over with you.
